Juvéderm® Hyaluronic Acid includes a small amount of anesthesia that enters the treatment area during injection, providing an immediate reduction in pain. The solution numbs the target area, enhancing patient comfort during the stages of injection, massage, and post-injection. This feature ushers in a new era of pain reduction for minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.
The effects can be seen immediately after receiving the hyaluronic acid injection, but remember to avoid any impact to the treated area during the 24-hour period when the filler is still molding the desired shape!
Currently, hyaluronic acid on the market is classified according to the production method used. Particle-type hyaluronic acid looks like tiny cubes, and is classified by particle size. The larger the particle, the stronger the support, and the longer the results last. Gel-type hyaluronic acid is similar to glue, with the various particle sizes primarily classified by the degree of chain cross-linking. The stronger the cross-linking, the higher the viscosity and strength of support, resulting in longer-lasting effects. Taking Juvéderm Hyaluronic Acid produced by Allergan as an example, there are a range of products with different degree of cross-linking offered, including Juvéderm Volift, Juvéderm Vobella, Juvéderm Volift, Juvéderm Voluma, and the new Juvéderm Volux. In general, hyaluronic acid with large molecules or strong cross-linking should be injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous tissue to prevent protruding particles. Conversely, small molecules or weak cross-linking hyaluronic acid can be safely injected into the shallower dermis.
1、On the day of hyaluronic acid treatment, please do not wear makeup, drink alcohol, or use a sauna.
2、Please inform the doctor of your medical history, including any past facial surgeries, laser treatments, or other previous non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
3、 If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, or blood clotting problems caused by allergies to anesthesia, it is not recommended to undergo cosmetic procedures other than non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
4、This treatment is not recommended for breastfeeding women, those with allergies to the drug components, or those taking muscle relaxants.
1、 Ice packs can be applied after the hyaluronic acid treatment to reduce swelling (swelling will vary depending on one’s individual constitution).
2、Temporary bruising, slight swelling, and the presence of elastic material at the injection site may occur after treatment, but these symptoms are normal and will disappear within a few days to 1-2 weeks after treatment.
3、After treatment, it is recommended to apply a damp compress to the injection site or use moisturizing products to care for the skin.
4、Avoid sunbathing, swimming, or going to the sauna for seven days after the treatment. When washing your face, be gentle and avoid squeezing or massaging.
5、For those who have undergone a nose reshaping treatment with hyaluronic acid, it is advisable to avoid using glasses for the first seven days after the treatment.
6、The results of hyaluronic acid treatment vary from person to person, and the doctor will provide a recommendation on whether further injections are required based on individual needs.
7、A follow-up visit is recommended 1-2 weeks after treatment, and additional injections may be provided depending on individual circumstances and needs.
